Highlighting the February School Board Meeting at Waynesboro Public Schools! February was School Board Appreciation Month. We acknowledged and appreciated the Waynesboro School Board for being the guiding heart of our education system! Special recognition went to Mrs. Vonda Hutchinson, Clerk of the Board, and Mrs. Teresa Floyd, Deputy Clerk of the Board, as February is also School Board Clerk Appreciation Month. In addition a special thank you to Ms. Addison Copeland, for her valuable input and commitment to the school board! Kudos was given to Ms. Angela Mickens, recognized as one of the 2024 NAA's Next Generation Honorees of AfterSchool Leaders. Additionally, the meeting featured School Program Presentations from KCMS Check-In Check-Out, KCMS On the Road Collaborative with a special student spotlight from Levi Williams, and WHS Black Student Union. Thank you for sharing your impactful initiatives with us! Waynesboro Public Schools is proud to have had such dedicated individuals shaping the future of education in our community. The reading programs under review are: CKLA- Amplify, Harcourt- Open Court, SAVVAS- My View, OpenUp- Bookworms, and Houghton-Mifflin- Into Reading.
