Mrs. Riggan's Latin American Studies class had an exciting visit from a Latin dance teacher! Students got a chance to learn about the rich history and cultural significance of Latin dances, followed by a fun session learning some traditional dance steps.
What a fantastic way to bring history to life and get everyone moving! 🎶✨

At their meeting on Tuesday, November 12, the Waynesboro School Board approved updates to the 2024-2025 school calendar. December 19 will now be an Early Release Day for students. 🗓️

Shoutout to STEP Learning Lab Students! 🌟
On November 2, students from the STEP Learning Lab volunteered their time during the open house at Blackforest Sawmill, one of the key internship sites for our post-high program. The STEP Learning Lab, a collaborative initiative between Augusta County Public Schools (ACPS), Staunton City Schools (SCS), and Waynesboro Public Schools (WPS), provides valuable hands-on experiences to help students gain real-world skills. We are so proud of the students for their hard work and dedication!

It’s been a fantastic time for band at Kate Collins Middle School! Recently, 43 talented students traveled to Wilson Middle School for the Valley Honor Band auditions. We’re incredibly proud of everyone who took part in this exciting opportunity! Adding to the excitement, our 7th & 8th Grade Band students had the chance to learn from special guest artists Dan Gable and Kimberly Hawkey, who joined us from Boston to share music from the Big Band Era.
