🎉 English Learner Family Night at WHS! 🎉 WHS had a wonderful turnout with nearly 30 parents and students coming together. 🌍 Their diverse group of attendees included families who speak Arabic, Pashto, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. During the night, the WHS English Learner staff covered important topics such as school policies and regulations, LIEP programming, CTE, AP classes, Governor's School, VCTC, and graduation requirements. Plus, they were able to introduce WHS's amazing admin, counseling, and career center staff! A huge thank you to the WHS EL Department for organizing this fantastic event! 🙌

September is Attendance Awareness Month Too often, we think of reducing absences as the job of parents or school clerks in the front office. But communities across the country have started helping schools address chronic absence by building public awareness and leveraging resources. http://bit.ly/1oqfID7
