Don’t forget! The Waynesboro Education Farm Student Run Market is open every Thursday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the WHS parking lot on W. Main Street (left of the high school). Come support our students and pick up fresh, locally grown produce. This market runs until October 10th, so mark your calendars and stop by each week for farm-fresh goodness!

🎉 English Learner Family Night at WHS! 🎉 WHS had a wonderful turnout with nearly 30 parents and students coming together. 🌍 Their diverse group of attendees included families who speak Arabic, Pashto, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. During the night, the WHS English Learner staff covered important topics such as school policies and regulations, LIEP programming, CTE, AP classes, Governor's School, VCTC, and graduation requirements. Plus, they were able to introduce WHS's amazing admin, counseling, and career center staff! A huge thank you to the WHS EL Department for organizing this fantastic event! 🙌

It was a wonderful day filled with diverse performances, vibrant cultural exchanges, and exciting activities at our school division tent alongside Staunton City Public Schools. Latin American History Class Visits the Waynesboro Educational Farm! WHS Latin American History class had a hands-on learning experience at the Waynesboro Educational Farm! Students explored foods native to Latin America, harvesting fresh peppers and preparing delicious dishes like pico de gallo, blue potatoes, and roasted squash. They even got to taste orange watermelon from Africa and roasted peppers! What a great way to connect history with local agriculture and enjoy fresh, tasty foods! 🌽🌶️🍽️

We have an exciting opportunity for families and community members tonight, Thursday, September 12 at KCMS from 5:30-8 PM. There will be a free screening of The Right to Read Documentary with a reception before and a panel presentation afterward. This documentary fits very well with changes happening across the division as a result of The Virginia Literacy Act. We hope you can join us!
