From powerful readings to engaging discussions, this event highlighted the importance of diverse voices in literature. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event a success!

Waynesboro Public School will be hosting a clothing drive on our upcoming teacher conference days. Please consider donating the clothes your kids have outgrown. The donated items will be used for an annual SAW Clothing Closet in August.

The RTR Teacher Residency Program at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in partnership with Waynesboro Public Schools offers a hands-on, school-based teacher preparation experience. Through both graduate and undergraduate pathways, residents gain the knowledge, skills, and real-world experience needed to be effective educators. If you already have your associate or bachelor’s degree, one of our pathways could be right for you! This program also offers: - a full salary and benefits as an employee of the school division for those pursuing their bachelor’s degree - a stipend to cover the cost of your degree or certificate in education, leading to teacher licensure eligibility in elementary, secondary, or special education for graduate and undergraduate pathways APPLY TODAY at teachrtr.org!
