Hello WHS families! The college and career center is hosting a workshop for underclassmen of WHS on Wednesday, March 13th. We will cover EVERYTHING you need to know about college! Did you know that playing sports can get you Scholarships? Having a good GPA can qualify you for Financial Aid. Want to continue your education and have no idea where to start?
Rising 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders and their families are invited. In this presentation, you will learn the types of education after high school, what form of education you'd need for your desired career, how to afford it, and what opportunities can come from it! This event will be held from 5-6:30 in the WHS Cafeteria. We will have snacks and drinks while Ms. Z presents, so you can know what to be working on NOW! Students who RSVP will be entered in a raffle to win a $1,000 Scholarship! Looking forward to a great conversation!

Exciting Educational Adventure at the Wayne Theatre! 🌟
Waynesboro High School Africana Studies students had an incredible experience at the historic Wayne Theatre, diving deep into the rich history of Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad. Big shoutout to Corey Holmes, the Wayne Theatre Education Director, for taking the time to visit the class beforehand and providing essential background knowledge. Corey enlightened students about what they were about to witness, sharing insights into African theatre and the profound history of segregation and integration at the Wayne Theatre. 🎭🌍

Community Impact Update! 🌟
The Senior Class at WHS spearheaded a heartwarming Hat and Glove Drive! 🧤🎩 Ms. Cobb and Ms. Morris had the privilege of accompanying our senior class officers to the WARM shelter, where they delivered around 40 much-needed items.
Save the Date! Transition Fair - April 4, 2024, 2:00pm-7:00pm at Wilson Workforce and Rehabilitation Center. An evening dedicated to providing resources to students with disabilities as they prepare for life after high school.
The Winter Dance is scheduled for Saturday, 2/10/24 from 7pm-10pm.
A signed permission form is needed for ticket purchase, and students must be eligible in order to purchase tickets. Students will be notified via email if they are ineligible to attend.
Ticket sales begin on 1/31/24 and will be sold before school in the cafeteria.
Tickets are $10 in advance, and $15 at the door.
