Waynesboro Public Schools' Heavy Equipment Operation Licensure Program was recognized at the August school board meeting.
The Heavy Equipment Operation Licensure program includes certifications in OSHA 10, Stand Up and Sit Down Forklift certifications. All of the students earned their licenses for Heavy Equipment Operations 1 Level. .
Upon completion of the program, students were guaranteed interviews with Waynesboro City, Momentum Earthworks, and M3 Inc. and impressively, each student received at least one job offer

Dr. India Harris, Director of Secondary Instruction and Ms. Beth Burdick, Waynesboro High School Career Coach, facilitated this program in partnership with Blue Ridge Community College.
The Waynesboro Public School recognized the Waynesboro Education Farm at their August meeting. The Waynesboro Education Farm has implemented a student employment program which employees 11th and 12th grade students to be paid Farm Assistants. Rising 9th and 10th graders are eligible for positions as Junior Farm Assistants. 👩🌾🧑🌾🥬🍅

password = your date of birth in the mmddyyyy format followed by your grade level (If yours is 5/06/2012 and you are in grade 11, your temporary password is 506201211)
You will be prompted to reset your password upon initial login. Your current password will be the above (birthdate and grade level).

We had an incredible start to the new school year with our recent convocation, welcoming our dedicated staff back! Our guest speaker, Dave Burgess, brought the energy and inspiration we needed to kick off the year.
Dave Burgess is a New York Times Best-Selling author of "Teach Like A PIRATE: Increase Student Engagement, Boost Your Creativity, and Transform Your Life as an Educator" and co-author of "P is for PIRATE: Inspirational ABC's for Educators." He is renowned for his creative, entertaining, and outrageously energetic style.
Dave empowered our teachers to embrace the mighty purpose of being an educator and sparked them to design classes that are life-changing experiences for students. We're excited to see the amazing impact this inspiration will have on our classrooms this year!

Good Evening WHS Families,
We look forward to seeing you at our open house on Friday from 5-8 pm, with freshman orientation at 6:30. Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors can access their schedules via Powerschool on Friday at 3:00 pm. Freshmen will receive paper copies of their schedule at open house. For students receiving their schedules through Powerschool, your password will be reset to your student number plus your birth month (For Example, if you were born in February, you will simply add a 2 at the end of your student number). Please note students will need to log in through a web browser initially, not the Powerschool app.

We are thrilled to welcome our new staff members to Waynesboro Public Schools! These past few days at our New Staff Orientation have been fantastic, and we are so glad you are here with us. Orientation included a thrilling opening by the Waynesboro High School Cheer team, learning important information about our division, a fun and informative bus tour of Waynesboro, and ended with a beautiful group photo at Sunset Park. We are excited about the start of the new school year and look forward to seeing everyone on August 7th! In preparation for the new school year, WHS will hold an open house next Friday, August 2nd, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Families can meet our staff, purchase parking passes, learn about school clubs, access the clothing closet, and gain assistance in registering their students for the coming school year. At 6:30, we will hold an orientation for our Freshman and new student families in the auditorium, where they will access their class schedules and tour the school.
