The Central Shenandoah Valley Office on Youth is bringing the impactful documentary Screenagers Under the Influence to our community! This event sheds light on the challenges teens face with constant connection to the internet, social media, screen time, and how it influences decision-making related to vaping, drugs, and alcohol.

🎶🎭 This week, students from Waynesboro High School's Latin American History class, Black Student Union, and World History class had an incredible experience at the Wayne Theatre , attending a powerful performance by Nobuntu—a talented all-female a cappella group from Zimbabwe! 🌍🎶
This performance was not just a display of musical talent, but also a journey through Zimbabwean culture and the power of artistic expression. We are grateful for opportunities like these that broaden our students’ understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures.

🎶 Students from Mrs. Riggan's Latin American History class, along with some friends, gathered at the Wayne Theatre for an unforgettable performance by Rancho Aparte, a traditional Colombian musical group! 🎉 The music brought Latin American history to life and created an enriching cultural experience for all who attended.

Don’t forget! The Waynesboro Education Farm Student Run Market is open every Thursday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the WHS parking lot on W. Main Street (left of the high school). Come support our students and pick up fresh, locally grown produce. This market runs until October 10th, so mark your calendars and stop by each week for farm-fresh goodness!
🎉 English Learner Family Night at WHS! 🎉
WHS had a wonderful turnout with nearly 30 parents and students coming together. 🌍 Their diverse group of attendees included families who speak Arabic, Pashto, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. During the night, the WHS English Learner staff covered important topics such as school policies and regulations, LIEP programming, CTE, AP classes, Governor's School, VCTC, and graduation requirements. Plus, they were able to introduce WHS's amazing admin, counseling, and career center staff! A huge thank you to the WHS EL Department for organizing this fantastic event! 🙌
