About the Office of Instruction

If you haven’t failed in the classroom lately, you aren’t pushing the envelope far enough. “Safe” lessons are a recipe for mediocrity at best.

Welcome Message

Welcome to Waynesboro's Office of Instruction, the hub of educational innovation and a champion of student success in our community. As we embark on another school year, our commitment to cultivating an environment where every learner thrives is stronger than ever.

At the heart of our efforts lie three fundamental pillars: Relevance and Engagement, Higher-Order Thinking, and 21st Century Skills. We believe that education must resonate with our student's experiences and interests, fostering an environment where learning is not only enjoyable but also meaningful. To this end, we continuously innovate our teaching methodologies to ignite the spark of curiosity in our students.

Our emphasis on Higher-Order Thinking underscores our dedication to nurturing critical thinking and problem-solving skills in our students. We firmly believe in empowering our learners to participate actively in their learning journey, posing questions, solving complex problems, and making informed decisions.

In today's rapidly changing world, mastering 21st-century skills is paramount. Our teaching strategies are designed to promote communication, collaboration, creativity, and innovation, preparing our students to succeed in the world beyond the classroom.

As we progress, we eagerly anticipate progressing in these areas through various channels, including school and division improvement initiatives, collaboration with our dedicated faculty and teacher teams, quality professional development, special projects, and exchange of ideas with our colleagues.

Our vision to drive innovation and personalized education for all our students and our mission to leverage community resources for purposeful knowledge creation remains at the core of all we do. Here at the Office of Instruction, we aspire to add value to the lives of our students, staff, and community by fostering wellness and creating an inspiring learning environment.

Thank you for joining us on this discovery, growth, and success journey. Together, we will shape a brighter, more fulfilling future for our learners and community.
