School Health Advisory Board

The School Health Advisory Board referred to as the SHAB committee was created to: 

  • Advise the School Board through the division superintendent of the health service needs of students in the division.  
  • To review annually, the Wellness plan and the health service activities and report to the School Board the extent of Health and Wellness implementation plans.
  • To advocate for health needs of students and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
  • To promote dialogue between parents, students, school personnel, and community members on issues related to the health needs of students.

The committee meets 4 times a year and the public is invited to attend. Dates and time will be announced at the beginning of the school year and on the school news channel.

If schools close early or are closed due to weather the meeting will be cancelled.
